Board your Turnagain Arm Shuttle for the guided drive along spectacular Turnagain Arm. From beginning to end there are dramatic views of mountain scenery and the Cook Inlet. At the 140-acre Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, jaws drop in awe-even those of longtime Alaskans. AWCC’s mission is to provide refuge for orphaned, injured and injured animals-those that can’t survive in the wild. The center also educates visitors about Alaska’s Wildlife. Your shuttle will take you directly to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where you can witness Alaskan Wildlife up-close. On the way down to the Alaska Wildlife Center you will be traveling down Alaska’s most scenic highway known as Turnagain Arm.

Your journey to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center begins with a custom tour of Turnagain Arm and is a treat you won’t want to miss. On the way to the wildlife center you will be traveling down Alaska’s most scenic stretch of highway known as Turnagain Arm. Your adventure includes a Turnagain Arm Tour with highlights listed below.
Popular photo stop with panoramic views of Turnagain Arm. Possible opportunities to see Dall sheep and Beluga whales. Beluga whales are often sited during later part of July through August when the salmon are spawning in the area streams.
Enjoy breathtaking views of Explorer Glacier which overlooks a serene lake. Then it is on to the next stop for a 10 minute walk into a rainforest that leads to an overlook looking down on Portage Lake and its many glaciers that surround it.
Duration: 4.5 approximately 4.5 hours
Included: Round-trip shuttle service with a tour of Turnagain Arm.
Excluded: Entrance fee into the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Entrance fees are charged separately and can be purchase online once you get your shuttle ticket.
